Magic of Mentoring
EVENT MARKETING & DÉCOR
The Magic of Mentoring is the Mentoring Partnership of South Western Pennsylvania’s (TMP) bi-annual fundraiser and celebration of the impact of youth mentoring in the region.
“Mentoring is a bright network of connections.”
The event planner/decorator shared her initial vision of twinkle-light filled balloons, silver-threaded tablecloths, and an overall charmed tint to what often can be perceived as the usual after-work affair. This conversation shaped the visually chic theme of “constellations,” symbolizing how mentoring is a bright network of connections.
The invitation has an intriguing make up — inspired by the bold interconnecting lines within the letters of MAGIC. The front cover provides a clean canvas for the who, what, when, etc., and the opposite side surprises with the merger of folds. Each corner hosts a little pop of information, pattern, and color! The fully opened inside is a mini poster acknowledging the special honorees and contributors to the event.
From Invitation to Event
The Magic of Mentoring leaders desired the event itself to be wrapped in positive messages — from large bay window decals, to leading floor star stickers, and even table-top covers.
The designs for the first and second window bay
The range within the color palette (primary red paired with warm tints of coral and aqua) and the patterns of diamonds and stardust added an overall warm vibrance and ease.

The wall and floor touchpoints expanded the print identity into the environment — a crisp and charisma-filled scrapbook of how magical mentoring can be!
“We have been awed by the way in which Bethany has helped us tell our story.
She listens to us and has truly captured the 'look and feel' of our mission in her design. I appreciate the ways that she approaches the challenges we've presented and have been impressed with the fresh ideas that she presents. She is cognizant of our budget, always delivers on time and has been very thorough in the details for each project.”
